Water Gap National Recreation Area
Cross-country skiing is available in Pennsylvania at Slateford along
Route 611, McDade Trail along River Road and Milford Beach Southward.
Skiing is also available at Blue Mountain Lakes along Old Mine Road
north of Millbrook NJ. Maps are available at www.nps.gov/dewa.

Hickory
Run State Park
Approximately 16 miles of ungroomed trails are open to cross-country
skiing at Hickory Run State Park. The trails vary from fairly flat to
somewhat steeper slopes, please use caution and plan according to your
ability. A map is available on our website at http://www.visitPAparks.com.

Lehigh
Gorge State Park
The Lehigh Gorge Trail on the west side of the river from the White
Haven Access Area to the Glen Onoko Access Area is open to cross-country
skiing. The trail follows an old railroad grade, making it fairly flat
and wide. The section from White Haven to Penn Haven Junction, consisting
of 15 miles, is also open to snowmobiles. Parking is available at the
three public access areas located at White Haven, Rockport, and Glen

Nescopeck
State Park
Cross-country skiing is permitted on all 13 trails throughout Nescopeck
State Park. The ungroomed trails are relatively flat or have slight
grades making this a great way to explore the park during winter. Many
of the trailheads are located along Honey Hole Road. Other parking is
available near the office/education center and Lake Frances. A map is

Promised Land State Park
There are about 50 miles of hiking trails in Promised Land State Park
and the surrounding state forest. The trails lead through areas rich
in historic and scenic interest perfect for nature study, relaxation
and exploration. Skiing and snowshoeing are permitted on all trails.
Bruce Lake Natural Area and Conservation Island are the best trails
for skiing.
