Beltzville State Park
Located in Carbon County, Beltzville State Park is 949 acres with a shoreline of 19.8 miles. The park is located along the Pohopoco Creek with recreation areas around the lake. The park offers wooded and open picnic areas, which also include modern restrooms, drinking water, tables, parking areas, and day use mooring areas for boats. Fishing in Beltzville Lake is a popular sport. The lake is stocked with warm- and cold-water game fish and panfish. The lake is also ideal for boating.

Francis E. Walter Dam
Francis E. Walter Dam - An 1,800-acre project, having a small 80 acre reservoir but no Corps-operated recreation facilities. There is a boat launch area (no ramp), although there is a 10 hp limit. Swimming is not permitted. Picnicking, hiking and fishing are available, as is hunting, in season, on adjacent PA Game Commission lands. Whitewater rafting is also available downstream. Information on whitewater releases can be obtained by accessing the Philadelphia District Web site and checking under Francis E. Walter Dam. The watershed above the dam has been glaciated, resulting in scoured summits and valley walls and a number of ponds and swamps.

George W. Childs Recreation Site
Dingmans Creek originates in Silver Lake. As it descends 1000 feet in about 8 miles from the Pocono Plateau, the creek creates several waterfalls here at Childs Recreation Site, and the second highest waterall in the state downstream at Dingmans Falls.

Mauch Chunk Lake Park
Lehigh Gorge State Park is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of State Parks, and is in Luzerne and Carbon counties in eastern Pennsylvania. The park follows the Lehigh River from the outlet of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Francis E. Walter Dam at the northern end, to the town of Jim Thorpe at the southern end of the park. The deep gorge, steep walls and thick vegetation, rock outcroppings and many waterfalls characterize the entire park.

The largest residential center in the Western Hemisphere for education about the environment. More then 25,000 people stay and study at PEEC each year. PEEC's "classroom" consists of a 38-acre campus within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, and access to over a quarter of a million acres of public land. Promised Land State Park
About 3,000 acres in size, Promised Land State Park is in the Pocono Plateau, 1,800 feet above sea level, and is surrounded by 12,464 acres of Pennsylvania's Delaware State Forest, including natural areas. Raymondskill Falls
A 1/4-mile round-trip hike leads through a hemlock ravine to the Upper Falls. (70 ft. climb) The Middle Falls are a 1/2-mile round-trip, using steep, uneven stairs (150 ft. climb.) Raymondskill Creek at the bottom of the ravine is a 1 mile round-trip with a steep ascent on the return (200 ft. climb.)
