State Park
Located in Carbon County, Beltzville State Park is 949 acres with a
shoreline of 19.8 miles. The park is located along the Pohopoco Creek
with recreation areas around the lake. The park offers wooded and open
picnic areas, which also include modern restrooms, drinking water, tables,
parking areas, and day use mooring areas for boats. Fishing in Beltzville
Lake is a popular sport. The lake is stocked with warm- and cold-water
game fish and panfish. The lake is also ideal for boating.

Lake Wallenpaupack
PPL's 'Lake Wallenpaupack and Hydroelectric power plant was completed
in 1926. Now a major tourism and outdoor recreation destination, the
5,700 acre Lake Wallenpaupack fills what was once a bowl-shaped valley,
sixty feet at its maximum. It's one of the largest manmade lakes in
Pennsylvania.

About 3,000 acres in size, Promised Land State Park is in the Pocono
Plateau, 1,800 feet above sea level, and is surrounded by 12,464 acres
of Pennsylvania's Delaware State Forest, including natural areas. The
forests of the park consist primarily of beech, oak, maple and hemlock
trees. Two lakes and several small streams add to the park's outstanding
scenic beauty. Campround and cabins located on-site.

Promised
Land State Park
There are about 50 miles of hiking trails in Promised Land State Park
and the surrounding state forest. The trails lead through areas rich
in historic and scenic interest perfect for nature study, relaxation
and exploration. Skiing and snowshoeing are permitted on all trails.
Bruce Lake Natural Area and Conservation Island are the best trails
for skiing.
